The modern definition of an elopement

The Modern Meaning of an Elopement:

Elopement, to me, isn’t about running away anymoreβ€”it’s about choosing intention over expectation.

When I photograph elopements, I’m documenting something deeply personal: a day that’s been stripped back to what actually matters. No pressure, no big productionβ€”just the two of you (and maybe a handful of your favorite people) committing to each other in a way that feels true.

Modern elopements are intimate, meaningful, and completely your own. Whether that looks like exchanging vows on a mountain at sunrise, by the ocean, or in a quiet corner of the city, it’s about creating space to be present with each other. To slow down. To feel it all.

My role isn’t just to take photosβ€”it’s to help you protect that space. To capture the quiet moments, the in-between glances, the way the day actually felt.

Because at the end of it all, an elopement isn’t about escaping. It’s about choosing a wedding day that reflects who you are.
