The modern definition of an elopement
The Modern Meaning of an Elopement:
Elopement, to me, isnβt about running away anymoreβitβs about choosing intention over expectation.
When I photograph elopements, Iβm documenting something deeply personal: a day thatβs been stripped back to what actually matters. No pressure, no big productionβjust the two of you (and maybe a handful of your favorite people) committing to each other in a way that feels true.
Modern elopements are intimate, meaningful, and completely your own. Whether that looks like exchanging vows on a mountain at sunrise, by the ocean, or in a quiet corner of the city, itβs about creating space to be present with each other. To slow down. To feel it all.
My role isnβt just to take photosβitβs to help you protect that space. To capture the quiet moments, the in-between glances, the way the day actually felt.
Because at the end of it all, an elopement isnβt about escaping. Itβs about choosing a wedding day that reflects who you are.
