As a Vancouver wedding photographer, capturing unique elopements is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. Recently, I had the privilege of photographing a helicopter elopement just outside Vancouver, BC — and yes, it was raining! While many couples might hesitate at the thought of bad weather on their wedding day, this couple embraced the rain, creating a truly magical experience.

After having their legal ceremony in the stunning forests at Golden Ears Provincial Park, they flew high above the misty mountains and lush forests of British Columbia, they said exchanged rings by the rugged beauty of the wilderness. The rain only added to the enchantment, creating a soft, misty atmosphere that felt almost otherworldly. The contrast of the stormy sky against the stunning landscape made for breathtaking photos, and the intimacy of the moment was something truly special.
